First of all, you must check the following items to guarantee that you can install and set up your eSIM successfully:

• Your device needs to be eSIM compatible and network unlocked. (see “What devices support eSIM?“ + “How to check if my Android device supports eSIM?“)
• Your device needs a stable connection, preferably a WiFi connection. (To download the eSIM correctly to your device a stable internet connection is a must.)

There are two ways to add an eSIM to your device:

1. Scan the QR-Code from the “QR-code” tab on your My eSIMs page. Please note that this method requires you to display the QR-code using another device or have it printed.
2. Add the installation details manually from the “Manual” tab on the same page.

The QR code method is best if you can get the code printed, OR if you have other devices you can use to display it. If not, you can opt for the manual method.

After installation, you can set up your eSIM through these steps.

I. Install eSIM

QR-CODE METHOD

PREPARATION

1. Log in to your eSIM account.
2. Go to My eSIMs.
3. Under the Current eSIMs tab, look for the eSIM you want to install.
4. Click/Tap the Details button.
5. Locate your installation details:

• If using the eSIM website: click the Android Device button
• If using your Pixel Device: tap the Install eSIM / Access Data button

1.  Displayed by default is the QR Code tab.

• Tap the SHARE button to display the QR on another device or print it.
• If you logged in using another device, keep this display open.

1. Please don’t close the eSIM app or the browser with your eSIM account while installing and setting up your eSIM. Leave it running in the background.

INSTALLATION

To set up an eSIM on your Pixel 6/6 PRO device:

1. In your device’s Settings, go to Network & Internet.
2. 
3. Look for SIMs and tap the “+” add button across from it.
4. 
5. Tap the Download a SIM instead?
6. 
7. It will show you the page to download your eSIM. Tap the Next button. The device will be checking network info.
8. 
9. Display the QR-code from another device or use the printed code, then scan it using the below screen from your Pixel device.
10. Ensure the QR-code areas are within the box to avoid partially downloading it.
11. 
12. Once the code is scanned, the device will start checking on network info again.
13. Confirm if this is the eSIM you will be adding by tapping on the Download button.
14. Please note since we are using different providers, you may see a different name other than eSIM.
15. 
16. Once your download and installation are successful, you will see the Download Finished page.
17. 

When you are ready to travel or at the destination country, tap on Settings so that you can set up your eSIM to access mobile data.  If not, you can simply Close the above screen and your eSIM App.

MANUAL METHOD

PREPARATION

1. Log in to your eSIM account.
2. Go to My eSIMs.
3. Under the Current eSIMs tab, look for the eSIM you want to install.
4. Click/Tap the Details button.
5. Locate your installation details:

• If using the eSIM website: click the Android Device button
• If using your Pixel Device: tap the Install eSIM / Access Data button

1.  Displayed by default is the QR Code tab. Select the Manual tab to use this method.
2.  Copy the SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code using the copy icon.
3. Please don’t close the eSIM app or the browser with your eSIM account while installing and setting up your eSIM. Leave it running in the background.

INSTALLATION

To set up an eSIM on your Pixel 6/6 PRO device:

1. In your device’s Settings, go to Network & Internet.
2. Look for SIMs and tap the “+” add button across from it.
3. Tap the Download a SIM instead? 
4. It will show you the page to download your eSIM. Tap the Next button.
5. The device will be checking network info.
6. For the Manual method: tap Need Help?
7. 
8. Tap on Enter it manually link.
9. 
10. Paste the copied SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code on the space provided.
11. 
12. Tap the Continue button once done.
13. 
14. Once the code is scanned or added manually, the device will start checking on network info again.
15. Confirm if this is the eSIM you will be adding by tapping on the Download button.
16. Please note since we are using different providers, you may see a different name other than eSIM.
17. 
18. Once your download and installation are successful, you will see the Download Finished page.
19. 

When you are ready to travel or at the destination country, tap on Settings so that you can set up your eSIM to access mobile data. If not, you can simply Close the above screen and your eSIM App.

II. Access Data

PREPARATION

1. Go back to your eSIM App or eSIM Account. If you already closed it, ensure that you’re logged in again.
2. Scroll down until you see Step 2/2 – Access Data.
3. You should be able to see:
4. What are the supported networks for this eSIM
5. Under APN:

• If it says, “The APN is set automatically,” there is no need to set this up as it’s done for you.
• Otherwise, you will need to set this APN (Access Point Name) manually. Tap the copy icon.

1. Under DATA ROAMING, check to see if it’s ON or OFF.

SET – UP TO ACCESS DATA

1. Navigate to the SIMs page. Go to your device’s Settings >> Network & Internet >> SIMs.
2. Select your recently installed eSIM by tapping it.
3. 
4. Tap on the pencil icon above to label the eSIM properly.
5. Use this format: eSIM – Country Name (or regional/global eSIM name). 

• For example, you have Local eSIMs for Macedonia: eSIM – Macedonia
• For Regional or Global eSIMs: eSIM – Eurolink OR eSIM – Global

1. Tap SAVE.
2. (Please note that the above Sim name is just an example)
3. 
4. Once the label is saved, it will not update the name of the eSIM unless you turn it ON. Toggle the slider to Use eSIM.
5. Tap Yes.
6. 
7. Select your newly labeled eSIM for data. If you have other eSIMs selected before for mobile data, please wait for it to finish switching to your new eSIM.
8. 
9. Toggle Mobile Data to ON.
10. 
11. Set Data Roaming ON status if needed. Otherwise, leave it disabled.
12. 
13. Set the Access Point Name (APN) if needed.

• If it says “The APN is set automatically”, there is no need to set this up as it’s done for you.
• If you can see a copy icon beside a word, you will need to set this APN (Access Point Name) manually.

1. Tap Access Point Names
2. 
3. Edit Name field. Type any word to identify this APN. Tap OK.
4. 
5. Edit the APN field. Paste the previously copied APN setting from your eSIM App. Tap OK.
6. 
7. Leave the other fields blank. Tap Save
