Morocco has three national mobile operators: Maroc Telecom, Orange Morocco and inwi. Each offers prepaid mobile services, while eSIM options require different purchase and activation processes.
You can buy a local SIM after arrival or install a travel eSIM before departure. The right option depends on your route, trip length, phone and need for a Moroccan number.

Most travellers benefit from having mobile data in Morocco. It gives you access to maps, accommodation messages, translation apps and transport details away from Wi-Fi.

There is no single best Morocco SIM card for every traveller. Your route and communication needs matter more than the operator’s logo.
Maroc Telecom is a useful first network to check for long drives and remote-route planning. Orange provides prepaid, Marhaba and eSIM options. Inwi offers visitor packages with data, calls and SMS.
Morocco’s three national networks offer prepaid service, account-management tools and eSIM support. Their package structures differ.
Maroc Telecom is also known as IAM. Its Jawal prepaid service includes internet passes, calls and combined packages.
Current standard internet passes include 500 MB for 5 MAD, valid for one day. Other options include 1 GB for 10 MAD over three days and 2 GB for 20 MAD over seven days.
Larger packages may appear with temporary bonus data. Don’t treat a promotion as a permanent allowance unless the end date is still valid.
Maroc Telecom also publishes visitor eSIM offers. Its local eSIM provides access to mobile internet, calls and SMS without a removable card.
Orange sells prepaid cards for 20 MAD. Its official store also lists Marhaba offers priced at 120, 220 and 320 MAD. The live page should be checked for each package’s data, calls and validity.
Orange supports eSIM and prepaid-line identification. Customers can manage services through Max it, Orange Money, bank cards and recharge vouchers.
inwi offers local prepaid service, visitor packages, eSIM support and account management through My inwi.
Its current visitor package at 100 MAD includes 10 GB, 10 hours of calls, 2,000 SMS and 90 international-zone minutes. These benefits remain valid for 30 days.
A 300 MAD option includes unlimited data for 14 days, while a 500 MAD package includes unlimited internet for 30 days. Fair-use or speed conditions should be checked before purchase.
inwi’s eSIM pack also includes 20 MAD of bonus credit, plus access to data, calls and SMS according to the selected recharge.
A local prepaid card may cost around 20 MAD before extra data. Your final cost depends on the package, validity and purchase location.
Maroc Telecom’s listed packages cost 10 MAD per GB. inwi’s 100 MAD visitor package reaches the same data cost while also including calls and SMS. Unlimited packages are better compared by daily cost.
Airport packages may cost more than ordinary city offers. You are often paying for immediate registration, setup help and convenience.
A cheap or free SIM isn’t automatically good value. Ask how much data is included and when it expires.
Tourists can buy a Morocco prepaid SIM card at airport counters, official operator shops and authorised retailers. A travel data plan can be installed before departure.
