Activating Personal Hotspot (Tethering) with Your eSIM

You can certainly use the personal hotspot feature with your eSIM, provided your device and the network support this functionality.

1. For iOS Users:

1. Enabling Personal Hotspot:

  1.  Navigate to `Settings`.
  2. Tap `Mobile service`
  3. Turn on `Mobile data`
  4.  Select `Personal Hotspot`.
  5.  Switch on the `Allow Others to Join` option.

2. Setting APN for Hotspot (if required):

    Check your eSIM installation guide to see if a manual APN setting is necessary. If so, follow these steps:

  1.  Go to `Settings`.
  2.  Choose `Cellular/Mobile Data`.
  3.  Select your eSIM listed under `Cellular/Mobile Data Plans.`
  4.  Tap on `Cellular/Mobile Data Network.`
  5.  In the `Personal Hotspot APN` section, enter the APN precisely as specified in your eSIM installation instructions (use lowercase, single-word format).
  6. Leave the `Username` and `Password` fields empty.



3. For Android Users:

Setting Up Hotspot:

  1.  First, ensure your APN is set correctly before enabling the hotspot.
  2.  From your home screen, access `Settings` (you can pull down the notification bar and tap the gear-shaped Settings icon).
  3.  Go to `Network & Internet.`
  4.  Select `Hotspot & tethering.`
  5.  Tap on `WiFi hotspot` and toggle on the `WiFi hotspot` option.
